Alex: One bite set me on a journey to do so much more. Through building my macaron and real estate businesses side by side, I recognized a valuable lesson.
The macaron had a satisfying crunch, exactly as I had hoped. I glanced down at the remaining cookies, and although their sizes were a little wonky, I had done
what I set out to do—creating one of the most difficult
French pastries!
I have been baking for a long time. Over the years, it became a passion of mine to create sweets to share. Then at Thanksgiving 2019, my cousin brought some macarons to dinner, which reawakened my longtime love for French pastries.
At the time, I was trying to figure out what to do next after leaving a business I had been a partner in for several years. I went home that holiday season with a plan to recreate the notoriously difficult dessert on my own. If I succeeded, I decided I would take it as a sign to do more with baking. The first batch wasn’t perfect, but I did it! Over the next couple of months, I baked macarons feverishly before finally starting a business shipping the pastries from my home.
Sierra, the love of my life, was helping me during that time. As I spent long nights testing recipes and fulfilling orders, she was there helping bake, package, and ship macarons all over the country. Baking became something we shared, and it brought us even closer.
I was also working on myself, inside and out, and started exercising, trying to embrace my full potential. When I was younger, I struggled with confidence and let too many things get to me. When I started Pinch of Salt Bakery, I changed my mentality, my life approach, and just about everything else.
I also became a licensed REALTOR® in early 2020 after we bought our first home. It was eye-opening, and I wanted to share what I learned with others to help them through that process. I’ve always enjoyed helping others, bringing them happiness—that’s part of why I enjoy baking so much. Though sharing a delicious treat is sure to bring a smile, there’s nothing quite like the smile on a client's face on closing day when I hand over the keys.
Through starting businesses, COVID, and the world changing around us, Sierra and I have been a team. I’m so grateful for my friends and family who have been in my corner through it all, encouraging me to keep going. Rosenbaums do not quit, and determination was hardwired in me from a young age. I’m incredibly thankful for Sierra and don’t know where I’d be today without her supporting my every move.
Today, Pinch of Salt Bakery has transformed into my new business, Blended Macaron and Smoothie Shop. I enjoy staying involved with the business because it fuels my creativity and allows me to build relationships within the community. That first tray of macarons changed my life. Once I realized my past does not predict my future success, the possibilities of what I could achieve grew exponentially. We all have struggles in our lives, and though they will always be a part of us, we can overcome them to achieve so much more.
Sierra: With Alex building momentum in both baking and real estate, he encouraged me to take a leap of my own. I’d spent years in the service industry, managing bars and restaurants, and while I loved connecting with people, I’d always played it safe. But as he went through his own transformative journey, pushing himself in new ways, he encouraged me to do the same. In 2021, I opened Sip Champagne and Dessert Bar—a dream I might not have pursued without that nudge.
Starting a small business during the pandemic came with plenty of challenges from supply issues and staffing struggles to changing health mandates—every week brought something new. But we pushed through, and the shop has become a local favorite! What started as a shared interest in baking evolved into two successful businesses we’re proud of. It brought us together in such a special way.
As Alex’s real estate career took off, I found myself drawn to it, too. I got licensed at the beginning of 2025, and now we work together as a team. I bring years of people-focused experience, a strong sense of organization, and a natural ability to connect with clients. He’s analytical, driven, and full of creative energy. Together, we can meet the needs of every client.
Since becoming parents, balance has become even more important. Charli, our daughter, tags along on showings and lights up every room. We’ve built a life where work and family blend—and where our clients benefit from having two dedicated people working on their behalf. Whether through business or real estate, we’re in this together, always aiming to give our best and create lasting connections.
We treat every client as a friend, even if they end up not buying or selling a home. When the transaction ends or your goals change, we won’t disappear. We’ll do whatever it takes to let you know we care. Money is not the driving factor for us—relationships are. That’s why we enjoy being full-time REALTORS® while running our businesses on the side. It all connects us with the people in our community.
As your REALTORS®, we will ensure you are heard and cared for while moving forward on your journey. You get both of us. That means two people ensuring every detail is coordinated, every strategy is well thought out, and everything stays on track. We never want you to feel pushed into making a decision too quickly. This will impact the rest of your life, so if you don’t love your options, we will keep looking. We treat every client the same, providing as much information as possible. We’re always learning more about every aspect of real estate so we can better explain your options. If you choose us as your agents, we’ll always be a phone call away to help you as your REALTORS® for life.
Sincerely,
